Manor Kilbride Field Day…2024… this Sunday 16th of June…Schedule Released
Its official the Manor Kilbride Field Day for 2024 has been confirmed for Sunday the 16th of June at 2PM.
We have a rough idea of the plan for the day…which could change slightly:
- 2PM – Start
- 2.15 – DOG TRIALS – Christy Reid will be doing a two dog trails throughout the day, both will be timed and the person who guesses the nearest best time to complete the course will win a money prize. Christy will also be doing some Sheep Sheering Demonstrations.
- 2,30 – Sinead O’Brien Dance School from Blessington will be doing a cool Dance Demo
- 3PM – Pet Show – top five prizes – You Can see the number one prize below, kindly donated by Blazin’Tails Doggy Day care
- 3.30PM – We have a Fencing Demo from Lee and the Local Blessington Fencing Club
- 3.50PM – Novelty Tug of War
- 4PM – We have a 30 minutes Juvenile GAA Match with the Cill Bhride Under 10’s and a visiting team
- 4.30PM – Athletics
- 5PM – Final Dog Trial and Winner

- Short Fun Races throughout the day.

Stalls and Games on the Day
We will have the usual fun games and stalls including, Pony Rides, Sumo Games (Final around 4PM), Goldfish, Face Painting, Duck Game, Golf, Hanging Man (who can hang the longest), High and Low Game, RAM BO is back and more to keep all entertained!
We have a very special game for the first time, big thanks to local engineer, Paul Murphy who designed and engineered our Dunk Tank…we have a few Special Guests who will be the target and you can always dare your friends. Rumour is the Chairman will be first in, the referee everything loves to hate…Noel Kinsella, maybe Justin Cummins, Mick Ruttle, anyone else?? Add your comments below…Are there any newly elected representatives interested?
Note – bring a towel along on the day and spare cloths!
Foods, Drinks and Coffee on the day
Yes the Club’s Barista Coffee Shop will be open (including the Shop), there will be a Cake Sale and our BBQ and we also have back the year.
The big news is that the finest ice cream in the land is back…yes, Golden Hill Ice Cream is back this year, which is amazing.
Pet Show Prize – Top Prize:
Arts and Crafts…We have roughly 16 Exhibitors…which is amazing
This year we will hold a section of the Field Day area for Arts and Crafts micro businesses. So, if you or you know of any arts and crafts business which would like to display their wares at our Field Day on the 16th of June. We will also promote your business to our 1.4K online followers and to over 700 members of our Newsletter prior to the 16th. We expect a big crowd on the day!
It is outdoor (we will have an indoor option next year), the event times are 2-5PM, it would be great if you had your own table and gazebo.
