Cill Bhride CLG – Kilbride GAA, Manor Kilbride – Running Track Regulations (Draft, September 2026)

With the Club’s Running Track due to open this month (September, 2026), there are number of stipulations that MUST be adhered to around usage and the logic that surrounds such regulations.  If you have any queries you can write to: info@KilbrideGAA.com, see Club contact details here.

The Running Track is owned, managed and maintained by the Club, Cill Bhride CLG, hereafter known as the Club within this statement.

The Club is an affiliated unit of the Gaelic Athletic Association (Cumann Lúthchleas Gael) ergo Club governance is dictated by Cumann Lúthchleas Gael. Insurance policies, regulations and general policies are directed by Cumann Lúthchleas Gael and not the Club.

  1. You must be a member of the Club in order to use the Running Track – see Cill Bhride CLG membership link and registration, here.  A Runing/Track option will be presented post the Club AGM for 2026 (usually December 2026 or January 2027).  A none playing will allow use of the Running Track.
  2. You must be a member of the Club in order to be insured and make use of the Running Track.
  3. No dogs are allowed on the Club premises (with the exception of assistance dogs) and therefore are not allowed on the Running Track – this is a regulation passed down by Cumann Lúthchleas Gael.
  4. No Animals: Pets are banned from the Running Track to prevent claw punctures and biological contamination.
  5. No wheels allowed: Bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, and strollers are strictly banned on polymeric tracks because their weight and hard wheels destroy the material.
  6. Wear proper footwear: Stick to athletic sneakers or running shoes. Never wear high heels, dress shoes, or heavy boots, as they can puncture, tear, or permanently dent the synthetic surface.
  7. Avoid standard metal spikes: If you are wearing track spikes, ensure they are pyramid spikes no longer than 1/4 inch (6mm). Sharp needle spikes can ruin the rubber.
  8. Direction of Travel: Athletes and Walkers should train in the printed designated direction (which is counter-clockwise).
  9. There are two lanes on the track, walkers please keep to the right lane (outside lane) and runners to the left lane (inside lane).  Each lane is a metre width.
  10. No Food, Gum, or Sugary Drinks: Only water is permitted on the track.
