Hurling/Camogie comes to Cill Bhride…training starts this evening…soft introduction

The Club was recently selected to partake in a new project to promote Hurling across the country and has been earmarked as a ‘new Hurling unit’ along with other Wicklow Clubs including Knockananna/Ballymanus, Valleymount, Hollywood, Dunlavin, Blessington, Enniskerry and Fergal Óg of Bray. Great to see a Fergal Og’s involved, Bray really needs a second Club.
See photos of our new equipment:
In total, 18 of the new units have been established in Leinster, 8 of which are in Wicklow which is incredible. Can we follow in the footsteps of Kildare? The Club’s initial hope is to feed into Western Gaels as the young girls and boys get a little older.
So, from this evening (6.30PM) at Juvenile training, the U5’s, U7’s and U9’s will share the new equipment and partake in similar drills as the drills in the links below, 15 minutes or so with each group.
Thanks to Denis Murray and young James Murray who represented the Club in Croke Park yesterday, where all the Club’s participating in the initiative were displayed on the big screen.
Some of our drills tonight may include:
